Our Spicy Dark Ecuador drinking chocolate is for those who love the darker, cheekier side of chocolate. The nutty rich notes of the 85% cocoa Ecuadorian chocolate in this mix are combined by a touch of chilli to add little bit of chocolatey tingle. This blend is also a nod to the Mayan and Aztec origins of chocolate, where is was mostly consumed as a savoury spiced drink.
This lightly spicy blend contains lovingly flaked single origin dark chocolate with a dash of organic cacao powder, a splash of organic coconut sugar and a pinch of fruity chilli powder. It’s designed to melt easily and give you a full (yet gentle!) chocolatey hit.
The label of the pack opens up with instructions for making your perfect cup of Calm Cocoa. It also comes with a special Mindful Hot Chocolate Meditation card to sip along to. Calm Cocoa is best made slowly on a hob and then sipped somewhere quiet to immerse yourself in its chocolatey embrace.
We care about chocolate and we care about the planet; all of our packaging is home compostable, recyclable or reusable. We send our hot chocolate wrapped in recycled tissue paper and recyclable ‘paper bubble wrap’, and packed in recyclable cardboard kraft boxes.
